Athlete's Foot Tinea Pedis Aka, Risk factors and symptoms
Athlete's foot aka Tinea Pedis, is a foot infection caused by fungi called dermatophytes. The fungi infect the outer layer of skin that has died off.
The fungi that cause athlete's foot thrive in environments that are warm, dark and damp. In general, infections, Although common, is usually harmless. Before humans began to wear shoes the condition was not widely known.
Some risk factors and causes related to the athlete foot. As the fungus requires a warm humid environment, wearing shoes and socks that are not well ventilated, and that the port could sweats are ideal for dermatophytes to grow quickly and make you suffer athlete's foot.
If you come into contact with surfaces that have the fungus on them, such as the floors of locker rooms, showers and pools, you can contract the disease. You may have already understood that the most common source of infection was what lead to Tinea Pedis is called athlete's foot. There are other ways to contact the fungus as wearing the shoes of someone who suffers.
Typical symptoms of athlete's foot may include scaling and scaling of the skin between the toes. This often does not have pain, itching or odor associated with it.
